June – sept 2021
Works by Frank Miller
Frank Warren started PostSecret as a community art project where he invited total strangers to anonymously mail in their secrets on a homemade postcard. This simple act sparked a global phenomenon. Frank has received over 1 million secrets in his mailbox with more arriving every day but Sunday. PostSecret.com has won seven Webby Awards and is the most visited advertisement-free blog in the world.
Guests at the event will have an opportunity to share their own never-before-told secrets as Frank helps curate stories and conversation. As Frank says, “secrets are powerful, vulnerable, and the currency of intimacy.”
Don’t miss this deeply moving, deeply personal, deeply communal PostSecret event in our intimate 400-seat theater.
15 years and 1,000,000 secrets … in tandem with our Summer exhibition, campers will explore the PostSecret project and consider the deeper themes it touches on.
Frank Warren’s PostSecret project gives voice to anonymous secrets shared by people around the world. From funny to heartbreaking, illegal to sweet, the secrets reveal a deep commonality as well as the need we all have to share and be vulnerable.
During this camp, students will have the opportunity to view the exhibit and talk about what it means to carry our pasts and step into freedom. They’ll then creatively pepper kindness around town with painted messages on rocks, branches, and other natural elements.

Call for Public Postcards
PostSecret is an ongoing community mail art project created in 2005 by founder and snail-mail legend, Frank Warren, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a homemade postcard. From funny to heartbreaking, illegal to sweet, the secrets reveal a deep commonality as well as the need we all have to share and be vulnerable.
For our new exhibit — opening June 5, 2020 — a selection of PostSecret postcards, curated by Frank Warren, will be on display in the SCA gallery. As an addendum to the exhibit, we invite Saugatuck and the surrounding communities to share your secrets with us! These will be featured in a variety of displays.
