Our vision for art in West Michigan.
The Saugatuck Center for the Arts is West Michigan’s lakeshore destination for experiencing the joy of professional theater and music, life-changing education for children and adults, and substantive dialogue.
We are a community asset, a collaborative partner, and are deeply committed to building a stronger, more vibrant regional arts & cultural landscape. Nestled along the lakeshore our gallery space provides a unique hub for impactful conversations, outreach, classes and film.

Elevating Humanity: Forging Healing Through Connection
Artist Sandra Antongiorgi’s collection of work allows viewers to reckon with their shared legacy of inhumanity and invites people to connect with individuals most marginalized by systems of oppression. We are encouraged to connect with our own humanity–and with that of people who are often hidden away–to lead us to the healing that we seek.

The societal concept of identity is also continually in flux, as the definitions of gender, race, age, geography, culture and socioeconomic status are mixed, blurred, inverted and dismantled.
