Creative Summer Offerings
Summer Camps Begin
Summer Camps are kicking off for the summer with creative exploration for all ages! Our summer instructors are prepping creative lessons and camp registration is open. We have one day, multiple days, or week-long camps for toddlers, teens, adults, families
Our classes are all hands-on and process oriented, led by working professionals, performers, designers and artists. Campers will tour galleries, farms, artist studio spaces and have behind-the-scenes tours. We focus on self-expression, problem-solving and collaboration while capitalizing on what makes Saugatuck so special: community, local landscapes, agriculture and history of the arts.
This year many of our camp themes are inspired by our summer exhibition artists, Michelle Stitzlein and Victoria Martinez who both utilize found materials, recycling and repurposing in their works. All summer long campers will work with our visiting artists and be challenged to create one-of-a-kind earth-conscious works of arts!
“Nowhere else can my children hike a dune, cook pasta, sew their own dress and visit 5 galleries all in one week!”
“As a parent, it means so much to know my children have an option to explore their creative sides. I’m so grateful for the sweetness, warmth and genuine individual attention every one of the amazing staff have consistently shown my girls. They feel special at the SCA!”
“The children’s camps at the SCA are thought-provoking and inspiring. The highlight of my daughter’s summer is the Paint-Tastic Camp!”
Whether you enjoy painting, cooking, drumming, juggling or building we have a camp for everyone! Check out a full list here.
The SCA offers full scholarships to our camps and classes, thanks to a very gracious donor who is passionate about providing access to the arts for all children. Families who are interested should apply today!
