Mason Street Warehouse has been nominated for eight Wilde Awards for its 2017 Theatre Season. The 2017 season featured the musicals Memphis and It Shoulda been You and the one-person show Fully Committed. We are honored that our shows, staff and talent have been nominated.

Three lead actors were nominated for “Best Performance” including Francis Kelly for Fully Committed as well as David R. Gordon and Lindsay Roberts for Memphis. Our very own Artistic Director Kurt Stamm and Music Director Jamie Reed were both nominated for their work on Memphis: Stamm for “Best Choreography” and Reed for “Music Direction”.

“We are thrilled with these nominations,” said Mason Street Warehouse Artistic Director Kurt Stamm. “We’re competing with other outstanding professional theaters across the state, so this recognition of our work is gratifying. It’s especially exciting that all three of our 2017 productions are up for awards.”

The Wilde Awards honor the best productions, performances and technical work produced or presented by professional theaters across the state. Nominations for the Wilde Awards are based on reviews written by Encore Michigan’s team of professional critics. The award season runs from May to June each year.

We are waiting in anticipation for the announcement of the winners of the 2018 Wilde Awards. They will be awarded at The Berman Center for Performing Arts in West Bloomfield, Michigan on August 27.

We are hoping Mason Street Warehouse’s current season will also garner nominations for Mamma Mia!, Dixie’s… and Once. Our staff and talent put their heart into producing shows to form relationships and connect with the community.  We hope to see you this season!
